Happy New Year! Its BACK!

Xray is back this Sunday nite, 25th January at 8.00pm! Expect food, expect banter, and expect the bible (its God's Word)! We have lots of exciting things planned for 2009 so come along and find out about them on Sunday nite. For example, you will hear about our weekend away on the lakes! Yes you've guessed it - the Soul Truth Weekend! So see you on Sunday nite, alright!

A BIG thank you to Arlene and Big A for the Girlie Blokie Nite before Christmas! You can read Big A's story about how he became a Christian below:

"Hello my name is Aaron, I also go by many other names - some nice some not so nice - but most people call me 'BIGA'... I work in the university as an apprentice to the Church of Ireland Chaplain, this is my second year working here, but first full time.

I have been: a Christian for the last 4 years, since I was nineteen, but I wasn't always this way. I was brought up in a christian home and had an amazing christian family... but when I was in third year in school I got heavily involved in drugs. I had what I thought was a great life: friends, girlfriend, lots of parties and a great social life. But this lifestyle and living a double life took its toll on me. I almost decided to take my own life... but obviously I didn't! But I realised that there was something really wrong; that it wasn't meant to be this way. Finally I understood everything that had been taught and demonstrated by my family.

I realised: that I wasn't meant to be in charge of my own life; that Jesus loves us so much that he died on a cross to save us from the evil of this world; that he took the punishment for the things I should have done through his death on the cross; that understanding what he had done for me, I handed over my life to him in response to his love for me; and, because, ultimately, I love him, I live my life by his example and his teaching. It is also vital for me that the Bible is the totally true word of God, that its teaches, drives and informs Gods people that it's the most important thing as a Christian to know and own.

How long will it take you to realise your mistakes? I was almost too late... love and prayers 'Big A' "
